Rockstar and Take2: Here's some reasons you missed out on immense amounts of money by not architecting dedicated servers into your multiplayer setup

To bring everyone up to speed on network topology in games:
GTA Online uses what's called a peer-to-peer mesh network setup. This means that every PC/console on a connected session is talking to every other PC/console in that session. The preferred alternative for most multiplayer games is sever-client, where in every PC/console is talking with a single server.
With p2p mesh, this means that everyone shares authority. What this translates to is that a server is not the single authority checking for malicious activity, much of which anyone who has played GTA Online for is familiar with. This also means that anyone with the know-how can figure out what IP every other person is connecting from. This can lead to other malicious activity outside of the game.
But standing up dedicated servers costs money. Why not avoid that?
There are plenty of cases to be made where peer-to-peer connectivity makes sense, especially from a cost-savings perspective. But in some cases, like GTA Online, the benefits/gains from using a server-client setup far outweigh the costs.
So, in no particular order:

What Dedicated Servers Would Have Brought to RS/T2:

More purchases of cash in the Social store.
We'll start with the obvious here. When someone can get into a game and ask about [redacted method of obtaining money] and get a response 50% of the time, it's an obvious miss on being able to purchase prepaid in-game credit cards from the store. There's no incentive. And if they don't want to ask someone to do it, they can do it themselves.
Higher volume of Twitch streamers.
It seems easily correlated, but Twitch's research shows that livestreaming leads to better game sales. The reason this isn't streamed as broadly is because not everyone can get enough reliable people for a heist. Private sessions can be invaded by the same people who also [redacted method of obtaining money]. This is regardless of the privacy of a lobby, because those same people can find a unique identifier on the public Rockstar social site and join it, regardless of whether or not they're a friend or a crew member-- or simply not invited.
What this translates to are people who have such a low bar to pass to join a streamer's game and hold the experience hostage, crash the session or do any other number of malicious things. They can also impersonate people and send messages as them. So this further leads to things like not being able to do:
Twitch Rivals streams between competing streamer teams.
Imagine this: the game is pretty solidly protected from people who [redacted method of obtaining money] and those incidents they generate are rare, and when they do pop up, they're punished. So, streaming this game is far more viable. Competitive crews start forming, and Rockstar promotes an event with streamers where they're able to host lobbies and get 24, 36 or even 48 streamers in one session running 12 different crews for things like:
And so on and so forth. But because items have to be obtained through legitimate game mechanics, it also implements a grind. Maybe these groups/crews have been running for a while. But then you'd also be able to do:
Streamer Drops through Connected Accounts
We've seen other games do this, where viewers can get "drops" into their game by watching the streamer play it. These drops could have been literally anything that was on the Diamond Casino Wheel of Fortune. It could have even been a bonus spin at the wheel, to encourage getting the player in the game.
The Long-Term, Sharded MMO Experience
This translates to cash because people would be continually playing the game, which means more people paying for in-game cash and general popularity because more people would be streaming it, but this is the bigger buyback to the player, too.
Imagine a crew that worked hard at completing a certain set of heists on hard difficulty, no deaths, consecutive. Four people who are streaming their attempt like people do for raid bosses. And their reward was a unique yacht only available for them.
A ranked arena war system that awarded players who got 100 wins with a unique vehicle or livery.
The system could have been adjusted to make some things a grind. Making that money with friends, and then knowing that if someone had a high-end apartment, much less a casino penthouse, that they earned it through blood, sweat and hard work.
Powerful crews that were running around and happen to land on the same lobby and an all-out war with tactics, reinforcements and a consideration of cash drain to get the win in Los Santos.
These are the things that Rockstar and Take2 missed out on by not having dedicated servers with protections against [redacted method of obtaining money]. They were on the verge of greatness. They were this close. And I know that a lot of this translates over for Red Dead Online, too.

Is It Too Late to Do All of This?

No, I don't think so. If RockstaTake2 were to seek redemption from this, here's what they'd have to do:
Implement a dedicated server gamemode, and only allow characters created for this game mode specifically.
If people want to continue messing around in peer-to-peer sessions, maybe they allow that for a time before slowly forcing people over (because it's all about that money, right?). But create a new character (or duplicate the looks of one), and make it only available for play on controlled, dedicated servers.
You can even put Ye Olde GTA 5 spin on it and have Lester come in and say, "Yeah, I know the simulation was pretty fucked, right? It got hacked by kids on Christmas break. But anyway, now that you know what's possible out there in this stupid, god-forsaken world, well... uh, perhaps it's time we started making some money. And you remember Fleeca, right?"
Then people start off fresh, and work on earning things through the grind. I promise you, that'll net you some untold money and viewership. And I have faith enough that even if you made a very solid push into authoritative client-host conversion from peer-to-peer mesh, allowing the authoritative client-host to be controlled by Rockstar servers, you'd get something out of it.
And I will put a disclaimer on here: I don't know if the game engine is so archaic that it wouldn't allow for this kind of change. And if that is indeed the case, then the only thing that I can say is you missed out on all of the above by choosing to design what you did, because it is a proprietary engine.
But if you can, imaginary Rockstar or Take2 directory reading this, please, I implore you. Push for the change. This has been one of the best social games for me during lockdown, and I can't overstate how much everyone will benefit from this.
Sincerely,
~The Village Idiot

Heist crew ps4

Hi. I'm looking for 3 players or more to create a crew with focus on heists. If possible whit headset to talk during the heists. I don't care if you're low level. The only thing that matters is that you listen if you never did some heist! I'm level 61 in ps4 but I'm level 495 in PC. But my pc is broken so I started from scratch on ps4 and in 2 months I have everything to do heists! I can show my PC profile so anyone can see that I have all heists trophies included mastermind. On PC I was member of one of the best crews on heists in gta online! Whit members who still are the world champion in record times on heists and I did all the elite challenge in every heists. The only heists that I didn't do the elite challenge is the casino heist and the cayo perico heist. The cayo perico I'm going to do the elite alone at the moment. The casino heist I never did the heist because I can't find anyone who can do the heist! The 3 times I joined to randoms to do the heist " THERE'S ALWAYS SOME LOSER WHO DIES OR GIVE UP..." that's why I want someone who can listen and like to do heists and don't give up! I don't care if you never did any heist! I help you, I don't care if you die 30 Times in a heist! Just don't give up and learn! Anyway I'm not a super player I do mistakes like anyone but I'm sure that I'm a good heist player. And believe me if faster to earn a lot of money on heists instead of grinding ex: cocaine, meth, gunrunning...etc. If you like heists join me.

Rockstar and Take2: Here's some reasons you missed out on immense amounts of money by not architecting dedicated servers into your GTA/RDR2 multiplayer setup

This is mostly written in the GTA Online perspective, though it has crossover into RDR Online as well.

Nevermind that the same group of people who can [redacted method of obtaining money/goods/vehicles/XP] will also just grief sessions. Better yet:
Better Control on Hackers/Modders
Anyone who is on the outside of RDR2 or GTA multiplayer has probably only heard telltale of what modders do in these games. Here's a list of what I've personally experienced:
The list goes on. The biggest reason for using dedicated servers, honestly, is to get rid of the griefers. It's enough so that I've seen people ask if someone is running a specific type of mod, and they know the commands to use to get gifted vehicles, cash, etc. It's prolific and horrible.
But cleaning those things up and preventing them means:
Higher volume of Twitch streamers.
It seems easily correlated, but Twitch's research shows that livestreaming leads to better game sales. The reason this isn't streamed as broadly is because not everyone can get enough reliable people for a heist. New Player w/o Crim Enter Starter Pk

First and foremost, remember that this is a game and you should be having fun, while you are grinding. Also, the crew is here to help, ask when help is needed or if you have questions. Get on the discord and the game and help your fellow crew members.
Besides the advice below, search on youtube and you will see m any videos explaining all aapects of the game with many suggestions and hints on how to advance.
Go to the casino and spin the wheel every day. (can be done every 24 hrs.). Also before leaving the casino, go to the casino cage and get your free $1000 in chips every day.
If you have amazon prime, you should go to prime gaming and link your GTA social club with prime gaming. You will get free money, as well as possibly free properties and large discounts on vehicles in the game. The free stuff and discounts change about every two weeks.
When starting out you should be doing all the collectible missions and collectible weapons missions. There are 2 reddit posts in this subreddit explaining both. To complete all of these it may take a couple days depending how often and long you play GTA. After completing these collectible missions, you should have gone up in rank and have about 1.3 million dollars in the bank. A few things that can be done to break your collectible grind up is: flight school, this will also earn you rp and cash, as well as learning how to fly and Vip/Ceo missions. These can be done from the interaction menu and will earn you cash and RP.
During the time you are doing the collectible missions you should stop at an ammunation store and see if there are any free weapons available to you. If you don’t have any rifles, then your first purchase could be the micro smg with the extended magazine. This is a weapon that can be used on foot as well as in vehicles. As you move up in rank, more weapons will become available to you. Check the vehicle websites from your phone to see if there are any free vehicles available to you.
You don’t have the criminal enterprise starter pack so once you are ready to get a vehicle ( free or purchased) you should buy the cheapest garage to store the vehicle. This will give you the in game option of calling for the vehicle from the mechanic instead of having to steal one. The cheapest 2 car garage is Popular St Unit 124 for $25,000.
Your objective is to get to 2 million dollars in the bank to move on to the next step in grinding. You don’t have the criminal enterprise starter pack, so you will still need to grind some more to get enough to move on to the casino heists. You should be able to be a VIP now by selecting that in the interaction menu. Once a VIP you will be able to run VIP missions. The best two missions to run is Sightseer and Headhunter. You should alternate between these two to avoid the cool down timer. You should also be playing whatever Rockstar has made 2x or 3x that week.
Once you have reached your 2 million dollars mark , you should be able to purchase an arcade. I recommend Videogeddon in the city. It is closest to casino, centralized for setups, and cheapest in city at $1,875,000.
Once you have the arcade, follow the reddit post on casino heists to start making some real money. Once you run heists, you will start having a large enough bank account to start purchasing and upgrading businesses, to make your passive money.
A part 2 of this guide will be coming out with business recommendations.

You should get a vehicle or two (whichever one is free is a good way to start) and have them stored in your garage to give you the option of calling these vehicles from your mechanic, rather than having to steal vehicles.

Non-obvious tips for newbro's

GTA Online just got a boost in new players due to the free giveaway at Epic Games, myself included.
After playing and doing some research online I decided to write this brief no-nonsense "tl;dr" list of tips, sadly not included in the game itself, for my friends. As it got larger and more thorough I decided to post it publicly - hope it helps!
(June 2020; PC version 1.50, mostly applies to console too)

The order of tips is simple to technical, meaning arguably the most important stuff is near the end.
  1. Gameplay
  2. Equipment
  3. Business
  4. Settings
  5. Troubleshooting

[ 1. Gameplay ]

[ 2. Equipment]

[ 3. Business ]
Once you have competent equipment, consider investing your cash into a (single) Business to earn more cash later. Note that most of my info on this comes from other guides:

[ 4. Settings ]
First the important stuff:
The default keybinds are poor. Here are my recommended changes:

The "Online" > "Options" menu:

[ 5. Troubleshooting ]
This section is only useful if the game is malfunctioning somehow (which sadly is very common):

Lastly, and I had nowhere else to put this: You can currently get a free million and Pete's Arcade using an Amazon/Twitch Prime temporary offer. NOTE that it's set up so that although you can get the whole thing for free, it comes with automatic renewal for the subscription at 3 bucks a month. You can get rid of this either on the Twitch page or by contacting Amazon (chat) support.
Edit: Fill the arcade with the free games to get $3600 per "day" (48 mins). Optionally add the 90k game in the empty slots to raise this to the $5000 max (1400 more). You'll recoup the investment in: 90/1.4=64 "days" or 51.42 real-time hours.

P.S. If any veteran players have more tips to share in the comments I'd appreciate it.

Diamond Casino Heist Guide + TIPS - Written by /u/DatCamaroGuy

Diamond Casino Guide:
So you decided that you wanna rob a casino, great! The Diamond Casino Heist is one of the best ways to earn money, but you're wondering, how do I get started? Well, you're in luck! This guide is going to teach you the ways to get the best out of the Diamond Casino Heist!
Step 1: Arcade
Alright to get started, you’re going to have to own an arcade. Now, it may seem better to go for the arcades on the top of the map to save yourself some cash, however, this will make all the preps much harder, as most of them take place in LS or Sandy Shores.
The best arcade locations are 8-bit ($2,530,000, located in Vinewood) and Videogeddon ($1,875,000, La Mesa). When buying your arcade, none of the upgrades are necessary, as most of them are cosmetic. You’ll have to complete a quick arcade setup mission to access the basement where the diamond casino heist planning board is located.
Step 1.5: Arcade Income
While this isn’t related to the diamond casino heist, I thought I would put this in there. The arcade generates income based on how many games you have, going up to 5k per in-game day (48 min). The game doesn't matter, so you can just buy the cheapest one (Monkey’s Paradise, $90,000) and fill up your arcade with it.
Step 2: Scope out casino
After you’ve finished watching Lester scribble a big mess over the whiteboard, you’ll be able to start the casino heist. Normally, you’ll have to pay a setup cost of 25k, but since it’s your first time doing it, it’ll be free. After you’ve confirmed that you want to start the casino heist, you’ll need to finish the scope out mission. For the scope out mission, you’ll need to take a variety of pictures for Lester in order to unlock entrances for the heist. A full guide is linked here but I’ll sum up the most important ones.
You’ll only need to do this mission once, and it will be completed for all future casino heists.
Step 3: Vault Contents
The vault contents mission is pretty easy. You’ll be given the rough location of a Duggan security guard, once you find him, you can either hack him, which can take some time but you won’t get the cops on you if you do it right, or you can kill him and grab the phone, which will save you some time but you’ll need to lose the cops before you can enter the casino.
After you’ve entered the casino, you’ll need to bring out the sightseer app on your phone to find a wifi signal. After you’ve located the wifi signal, you’ll need to figure out the vault contents. Beware that you only have a limited time to do this (2 min).
Since it’s probably your first time, I would recommend that you go through every camera to scope out each POI. The target will be cash since it’s your first time, which has a payout of 2.1 mil on normal. The first time will always be cash (payout of $2,115,000 on normal), but if it’s not your first time, the targets can be either cash, artwork (payout of $2,350,000 on normal) or gold (payout of $2,585,000 on normal).
There is a 4th target, which is diamonds (payout of $3,257,100 on normal) however this vault content is only available for special occasions and has been removed from the vault contents.
If you do the heist on hard by doing the same approach after you’ve done another one, the payout will be 10% larger. If you’ve completed all 3 approaches to the heist, you can cancel the heist which can be helpful if you’ve got a bad target. Link to this is here.
Step 4: Selecting your approach
Once you’ve finished the vault contents mission, you’ll be able to select your approach.
There are 3 approaches to the diamond casino heist. Silent and Sneaky, The Big Con and Aggressive.
For beginners, I would recommend alternating between Big Con and Aggressive, because those are the easiest ones. For Big Con, choose the Gruppe Sechs disguise for the easiest entry. Aggressive is good for newer players however it does end up in a lot of money loss. After you’ve got the gist of it, alternate to doing Silent and Sneaky in place of aggressive for a bigger payout.
Step 5: Selecting your support crew
After you’ve selected your approach, you’ll need to select your support crew before you can do any of the prep missions.
Selecting your support crew is very simple. You’ll need a gunman to source guns, a driver to source cars, and a hacker to delay the nerve agent inside the vault.
Selecting your support crew depends on the approach and target in the vault. For Big Con, SnS, any target EXCEPT for art, you’ll want the worst gunman (Karl Abolaji, take his Micro SMG on big con, heavy revolver on aggressive and on SnS the choice is up to you), the worst driver (Karim Denz, take his sentinel classic) and the best hacker available to you, for most people, this will be Paige Harris (unlocked when the Terrorbyte is purchased, gives 3:25 in the vault when undetected and 2:23 detected).
For aggressive, you’ll still want to have the worst driver and best hacker, however, the gunman is up to you since you’ll be using guns a lot. I normally go with Charlie Reed (unlocked when purchasing a hangar), he takes a 7% cut (2% more than Karl) and gives you an assault SMG, however, you can get by with Karl, as every gunman gives you an SMG to go along with another weapon, which is still a perfectly fine weapon.
For Big Con, SnS and the target is Art, if you and your heist partner can both hack very well, you can get by with Yohan Blair (takes a 5% cut and gives you 2:51 in the vault if you are undetected and 2:01 if you are).
Step 5.5: Secret heist crew members
There are 2 hidden heist crew members that can’t be unlocked by purchasing a business like most heist crew members. There 2 are Patrick McReary and Avi Schwartzman. Patrick McReary is a gunman who takes an 8% cut and gives the choice a Combat MG or an Assault Shotgun in aggressive. Avi Schwartzman is a hacker that takes a 10% cut and gives 3:30 undetected in the vault and gives 2:22 if you are detected. To unlock Patrick, he spawns as a random event around the map. He spawns in a police car that you will need to hijack. A guide is linked here. To unlock Avi, you’ll need to destroy 50 signal jammers that are located around the map. A guide is linked here.
Step 6: Prep Missions
Now that you’ve selected your support crew, you’ll be presented with a plethora of prep missions. Some mandatory and some optional. To complete these missions, I suggest that you use a Kuruma, Buzzard, or Oppressor Mk2 to make your life easier. In some prep missions, you will not be able to call Lester, so be prepared. All of the missions can be done solo but it makes it easier if you have a friend with you to help you out.
Now onto the optional prep missions. Optional prep missions, are, as the name suggests, optional. The optional prep you should do depends on the approach. If you own a penthouse and have completed all of the missions, you will gain access to the security intel mission. It’s very easy to complete and you will only need to do it once. A nice trick is that the gauntlet actually spawns when you start the mission, not when the cutscene is triggered, so you can just shoot the driver and take the gauntlet. A guide will be linked below.
Let’s start with Silent and Sneaky. For Silent and Sneaky, the optional prep missions depend on your skill level. If you’re an experienced player, you don’t need to do much, only level 2 security passes. Power drills you can do if you think you have enough time. However, if you are a very new player, I’d recommend that you do patrol routes, Duggan shipments (you only need to destroy 3 to get rid of their bulletproof helmets), level 2 security passes, emp device and infiltration suits and power drills if you think you have enough time. If you do all these, the heist should be a breeze.
Going onto the Big Con, if you’re doing Gruppe Sechs, you don't need to do much. You only need to go through one door if you exit out the staff door, so you can decide if you want to do level 2 security passes or not. Patrol routes do make things easier, however are not necessary. Again, only do power drills if you think you have enough time. Make sure you do exit disguises. Noose and firefighter are exactly the same, so do firefighters since it has an easier mission.
For aggressive, again, patrol routes make it easier but are never necessary. Make sure to do Duggan shipments. You can solo it, but it will be much easier with another person. If you don’t get them all you can just close the game and you’ll be able to do the mission again. Reinforced armor allows you to take more damage, so I would recommend it even if it makes you slower. Be sure to also do boring machine as it allows you to enter through the sewers. Make sure to also do level 2 security passes unless you really like hacking doors.
Step 7: Finding people to play with
Now that you’ve completed all your required prep missions, you need some people to play with. If you don’t have any friends to play with, I recommend checking out HeistTeams or the GTAO Discord LFG Channels to find people to play with. Make sure to have good communication between your teammates otherwise the heist will be in chaos.
Step 8: Completing the heist
Now that you’ve got a solid heist crew waiting to grab all of that sweet loot out of the casino’s vault, you’ll be able to start the heist. If you're doing aggressive, the plan is pretty simple, shoot your way in, grab the loot, then shoot your way out. The easiest entry for aggressive is sewers, and the easiest exit is the eastern roof terrace. If you exit through the staff lobby, you’ll get shot a ton when going over the racetrack, however, if you exit through the roof terrace, you can shoot the guys behind the stones on the racetrack then safely parachute down.
For The Big Con, I’m going to assume you’re doing the Gruppe Sechs approach. By doing the Gruppe Sechs approach, you can pretty much waltz into the vault and back out of it, just be careful that this has some limitations. When going back up the stairwell/elevator to the casino access floor, the guards will have checked the vault and know it’s been robbed, so you disguise ain't gonna work anymore. I strongly suggest getting exit disguises, as they will greatly help your escape. The easiest exit for this is the staff lobby.
For SnS, I’m not really going to go into too much detail here because there’s a full video linked below. What I will talk about is when to use the emp (If you did the prep mission). I recommend emp’ing when you’re at the vault access floor, allowing you to waltz into the mantrap, or when you're coming back up to the casino access floor and are in the mantrap. Be warned that if you decide to get the daily vault when you trigger the emp, the emp’s timer will run out before you can get to your exit, so plan ahead. The easiest entrance for this is the staff lobby and the easiest exit is also the staff lobby.

Diamond Casino Heist grinding guide

I haven't seen a good comprehensive guide for this, despite it being the best money making method in the game, so I thought I'd write a guide about it.

What is the Casino Heist and why should I do it?

The Casino Heist is semi-challenging PvE content for 2-4 players. As of August 2020 it's the best paying grind in the game, paying out $1.5-$2 million split between heist members every hour and a half. If you're doing setups with one friend, you're both effectively earning ~$80k per setup mission.
If you have no friends who play GTA:O, try to find a buddy in game or on HeistTeams
It's possible to get even higher payouts, but discussing glitches is against the rules of this subreddit; go to gtaglitches for that stuff.

Getting Started

To do the Casino Heist you need an Arcade, preferably Eight-Bit (Vinewood) or Videogeddon (La Mesa) as they're the closest to the Casino and setup missions.
Not required, but strongly recommended as they'll make setup missions much easier:

Scoping and Vault Contents

All Points of Interest
All Access Points
Cash has the worst payout (up to $2.1 mil). You will always get cash the first time you host the Casino Heist.
Art has middling payout (up to $2.3 mil) but is very fast to steal, which means you can get detected, or hit the vault with fewer players, and still get the maximum take.
Gold is like cash but gives much better payout (up to $2.6 mil), with the disadvantage of making you run slightly slower when you leave the vault.
Diamonds only appear during special events, but have the highest payout for vault contents (up to $3.6 mil).

Choosing Approaches

The Big Con is the best approach, since the security tunnel entrance + Gruppe Sechs disguise takes you straight to the vault. Always choose it when possible.
Silent & Sneaky is like The Big Con, but is more difficult and takes longer.
Aggressive is relatively fast, but gives less time in the vault, making it much harder to get the maximum take for any target except Art.
In general, you should choose Aggressive for Art, The Big Con for other targets, and Silent & Sneaky only as a last resort. You should also choose Hard mode whenever possible as it gives you a 25% higher take.

Support Crew

Your Hacker is the most important support crew member, as they determine how long you have in the vault, and therefore your maximum take. My go-to is Paige Harris, who you unlock by owning a Terrorbyte. Avi Schwartzman is equally good and can be unlocked by destroying all Signal Jammers. If you don't have either of them, Christian Feltz is a decent stopgap measure; just be aware you'll have a good chance of missing out on profits.
The Driver determines your getaway vehicles, and is largely irrelevant since most people ignore the getaway vehicles and jack a car or a helicopter for their escape. I always go with Karim Denz and source the Sentinel Classic. It's only worth getting a more expensive driver if you want to unlock a car's trade price.
The Gunman determines the weapons you'll be using in the run. Again, mostly irrelevant, since Karl Abolaji's weapon loadouts are good enough even for a Hard Aggressive approach. Only get a more expensive gunman if you're going Aggressive and aren't confident in your headshotting skills or those of your crew.

Optional Preps

I don't recommend paying to skip any of the preps, because it eats significantly into your profits, and unlike MC/bunker missions, you can't easily make back the cost by doing other missions in that time.
Mandatory for every approach. Remember to get level 2 security passes, not level 1. The mission is very easy and saves you from having to do lots of annoying hacking minigames during the final heist.
This is mandatory for Aggressive and Silent and Sneaky, as destroying at least 3 shipments will remove the bulletproof helmets from guards and allow them to be headshotted. Most people also do this for Big Con just to be safe. Having at least one other player in your organization, as well as a Buzzard or Oppressor Mk2, makes this mission very easy.
Unlocked after completing all Casino Penthouse missions, this is a once-off mission that reveals security cameras on the radar on all future casino heists. Do it when you unlock it.
Reveals guards on your radar. Not required, but useful on every approach, especially Silent & Sneaky. Do this if you have time.
This mission is relatively easy and the EMP saves a lot of headaches in a Silent & Sneaky run. Not required, but worth taking the time to do.
This unlocks the best entry route for the Aggressive approach where you tunnel straight to the vault. Not required (Staff Lobby is almost as fast) but it makes the approach to the vault very easy.
Don't bother with this mission, other than to play through it once or twice for fun. The money from the deposit boxes isn't worth your time.
These missions are annoying and the disguises aren't that helpful. Collecting all playing cards gives you a permanent exit disguise you can use; I recommend doing that instead and never having to worry about this prep.
This mission gives you night vision. Basically, it's only useful if you plan on using the EMP but don't know the casino floor layout. Do it the first time you do a Silent & Sneaky run; by the second time, you should be experienced enough that you don't need it.
This unlocks new outfits that reduce the damage you take during the heist finale. Personally, I hate this prep, because a) the mission is annoying, b) the finale is easy enough without it, and c) the armored outfits are ugly. Do it if you aren't confident in your shooting skills, or if you plan to do the heist with only two players.

Finale Screen

Buyer: Always choose the High Level buyer for the best payout. The only difference is that you have to drive or fly a few more miles after you lose the cops -- more than worth the extra percentage of the cut.
Decoy: This makes the helicopter getaway slightly easier on the Aggressive approach, or if you screw up either of the other two approaches. I don't think it's worth the extra cost, but it could be worth it if you find yourself constantly having trouble getting to the helicopter.
Clean Vehicle: Completely useless. Don't bother.

The Big Con

Entrance: Security Tunnel
Exit: Staff Lobby

Silent & Sneaky

Entrance: Staff Lobby
Exit: Staff Lobby

Aggressive

Entrance: Sewer or Staff Lobby
Exit: Staff Lobby

The Getaway

No matter which approach you take, you'll eventually end up outside the casino, on the main road, with a 5 star wanted level. There are two main strategies people use here.

Bugs

Bug: You're in a getaway vehicle far from any cops, but your wanted level won't go away. This happens because one of your heist teammates has high ping and the game is having trouble syncing your wanted levels.
Fix: Have everyone get out of the vehicle and wait until the bug goes away. If you're in a helicopter with no safe place to land, the offending teammate(s) may have to parachute out.
Bug: On Silent & Sneaky, guards take a few moments to spawn in after you disable the metal detector.
Fix: Don't go through the metal detector or shoot anyone until the guards finish spawning in.
Bug: The guards in the casino aren't moving, and the cameras have weird movement patterns or are facing towards walls.
Fix: Just keep going; this bug actually makes Silent & Sneaky / Big Con easier most of the time. If there's a frozen guard you can't get past, use the Nano Drone.
Bug: You're getting away from the casino undetected when the vision cones suddenly disappear from your radar. Despite this, the police aren't coming after you.
Fix: This is a visual glitch and you haven't actually been discovered. Just keep going.
Bug: Someone joins as a spectator, then leaves. You screw up the heist and have to restart. Then you fail the heist because "Your heist team quit."
Fix: Suck it up and reset.
Bug: You're suddenly busted because a body was found... even if you haven't killed anyone yet.
Fix: Suck it up and reset.
Bug: You're doing heist prep mission with a friend, and you can't pick up the equipment because "you can't steal heist prep while on a heist prep mission."
Fix: Suck it up and reset.
Bug: You collect a heist prep vehicle and drive to your arcade, but it doesn't trigger the end of the mission.
Fix: Suck it up and reset.

Hope someone out there finds this guide helpful. Comments and suggestions appreciated.

[XBOX] Me and my friends worst and disgusted GTA V Online crew “TEAM” experience!!!

With this post Me and my friend would like to share with everyone about a very disgusting treatment by “TEAM” crew via Xbox platform.
So my friend/mentor of GTA was a crew member of this crew called “TEAM” but after I joined the crew (I saw on Reddit he advertised the crew) he left. I tried to find him because, he was the one who posted this crew, so I asked him what happened?
He refused to tell me at the beginning but after he saw I’m trustful he told me the whole story:
“One night i was in an crew session with only crew members with me altogether there were 4 players. I was having fun and fooling around with riding a bicycle lol, then I ride close to one of the crew member, the guy stopped his car and came close to me with a rifle but I couldn’t imagine he would kill me because our crew has serious rules about NO TEAM mate KILLING and NO KILLING back ! Because before they used to kicked one player. So I had no balls to kill back lol.
So, I didn’t move just kept riding, then when he saw me ride away he shot me down and killed me. Some more details is I had a 5k bounty on me, but still the rules are about no killing even if you got a bounty. I got a little mad but I didn’t kill him back, so first I made a report to the crew discord bot, then later I could get a report solution, plus I told the story in general chat and proved with killing history picture.
But from here they gave me a BIG surprise, two of the new crew mods, started to making jokes about its was fair killing because who the hell rides a bike in game .... Well it doesn’t felt good because they gave me the feeling like they won’t care, so I said please warn the guy because rules are rules NO KILLING, if you two won’t warn him as mod, then I’ll kill him back.
At this point one of the mod officially warned me if I kill back it means I’ll break the rules and he will warn or kick me.... WOW!
It left a very bad taste in my mouth but I carried on and didn’t talk more in the chat, and later the crew GM joined and started to making fun about the bike too... but they don’t get the point is if they gave us a rule and someone broke it they should care 🤷🏻‍♂️ but they warned me the one who got killed lol.... WTH?
After the incident, I’ve waited 4-5 days for the crew report system (usually the mods has to reply), but nothing and no one contacted me.... So I felt disgusted then I left with peace.
After 1-2 days I left “One other mod” texted me in pm asking me why I left, so I told him I’m not satisfied with the mods job, not keeping with the rules and made jokes on me, but he didn’t really answered my questions or problems, he kept asking me how does he going to do casino heist b2b.... (because I was the best hacker in the crew).
So I told him we can still do but I won’t go back until the mods not changing their mind and giving me an answer (tried to be nice with him).”
By the a week passed I was still in their discord chat, I saw people started asking about My friend but the mods had no balls telling everyone why he left, the mods just started to bash dirt on his name, saying he broke the rules with wanted to kill team crew .... but they never told why, plus he never did kill anyone “just wanted”.
I felt as a spectator its so unfair, so I posted the story to gtavonline subreddit and commented their crew team recruitment.
With 3-4 days passed the mod who warned my friend saw my comment and my post so he started bash dirt on us saying my friend is a “cry baby” and left because he couldn’t kill back 🤦🏻‍♂️ but as a grown man they don’t understand their job ,if you made a team rule as mod, why can’t your keep it up? Why would you make jokes when someone report something, first of all it’s so disrespectful, and after an official report, how couldn’t your give the client a solution or answer ?
But this is not everything ! He started bash more dirts saying my friend never helped them always left when they needed him, which is not true because for very their heist he helped them hack and make the sales too! Even on his own heist my friend helped him, but when we mentioned it in the comment he had no face to answer the truth. And an other crew member on discord started to saying people are dck calling other players dck and dirty words.... It really shows this crew energy and mentality 🤢.
Other players were curious about the details so they started asking “the mod who warned my friend “ people gave him few questions about the incident but he couldn’t even answer any of them, only tried to cover up his mistakes and taking circles around the case.
The story not ended here, yesterday night the mod One of the other mod texted ThreeTheCEO my friend on Xbox about why we shared the story sharing and chat histories. (They don’t like that we made their fault so viral). My friend kindly asked him to add him back to discord.
But here the sh*t going to pop up:
My friend told them, because it’s true and people gotta know the truth and you guys couldn’t give me the right solution, and this Other mod started to cover up again, saying it’s all my friends fault, he didn’t keep going contacting the mods about the incident.... LOL let me ask you guys , what’s the mods job? Isn’t their job if someone report something, then they have to solve it ???? How comes like the member has to keep going after the mods ? 🤔 Saying my friend is mad and left just because he couldn’t kill back ... OMG... they still don’t understand he left because they didn’t give a F and kicked up the team rules as mods.
In the end my friend said he wants peace but first the mod who lied and warned my friend has to tell the crew members the truth about he never broke the rules, but left with peace and stop lying about him. But this Other mod wasn’t happy with it he said we have to first delete the posts then he’ll see... 😂 He really felt himself like in some drug transaction. But we said no only if he apologies about his lies and tell the truth to others plus correct his lies about my friend. So This mod who contacted my friend went crazy mad and deleted my friend ...
And for today the liar mod deleted himself from Reddit, because more people saying he’s lying and he couldn’t face it.
Here some chat and story and comment from them and us:
https://www.reddit.com/gtaonlinecrews/comments/f3xff1/xbox_one_team_crew_discord_recruiting/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
https://www.reddit.com/gtaonline/comments/hr9n62/worst_gta_v_crew_experience/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
Please help us let more people know about this rotten crew and don’t let other new players get treated like this !
Please like and share the post!
Thank you!

I need to vent. My blood is boiling. I apologize for the wall of text. TL;DR: The Diamond Casino Heist is awful, and you shouldn’t waste your time on it.

All of that work. All of that anger.
For $300K.
The Diamond Casino Heist is, in my mind, without a doubt, the worst heist in the game. By MILES. Hours of heist setups and work spent alone, because none of my friends actually play this fucking game, and the best the game can give is $300K. In my naïveté, I thought R* had given us content that would actually be fun. Upon realizing the game was tasking me with choosing the approach, choosing the crew, and choosing the supplies, I had thought they had given us a heist similar to that of the story mode - no random players to worry about. Just you, and a shit ton of bullet-sponge enemies to deal with.
Well, I was half right.
After selling my Oppressor MKII to buy some worthless shitstain of an arcade (because R* has to find a way to make you lose money in the long run, and their favourite option is to make you think you have to “spend money to make money” by buying some useless property - but instead, you’re just losing money), I was already $2 million in the hole. I was desperate for cash, and the casino heist seemed like it would be worth it. Boy, was I fucking wrong.
For my weapons, I chose the SMG loadout. For the getaway cars, I (foolishly) chose the Drift Yosemite, because I was excited to drive an unreleased vehicle. That bullshit comes back to haunt me, just wait.
I chose the Sneaky approach, so I had to drag my own ass through the manure that is the nano drone and laser drill setup missions.
Both of these setups showed me just how bad the AI is in GTA. I already knew it was bad, but this was just unbelievable. Infinite cops spawning not even a block ahead of me, and don’t get me started on the fucking helicopters. It’s not hard to tell that the cops know where you are at all times, even when you’re in the cooldown period - by simply watching the minimap, they always seem to know exactly which side street you chose to escape, and once they find you, holy aimbot, Batman.
After at least 7 attempts, I managed to finish all of the setups, and I was already red in the face. But I knew that it would be worth it.
Ha. Nope. Why would R* ever think the player wants freedom, and to be left alone to deal with missions themselves? That would be anarchy. Of course the player wants to work with some random dude that probably doesn’t even own an arcade themselves, and is just tagging along.
$2.1 million is the best possible take, even with the high-end buyers. I did the heist with one other person (which I know was stupid, but I didn’t know it would be as much of a mistake as it ended up being) in the hopes that I could get away with more money, but that didn’t make even the slightest difference.
After entering the casino, you have to fight a ridiculous number of enemies, and like I said, I was half right when I made my predictions - as in the enemies are genuine bullet-sponges. My partner didn’t know what “Sneaky” actually meant, so they just ran in and started blasting. Rendering my approach absolutely pointless. Unless you get a perfect headshot, it takes between 4-10 bullets to kill each guard, which doesn’t sound terrible, but it gets to that point when you’re stuck in a small space with a mind-boggling number of doors and hiding spots that give the enemy a massive advantage if they pull the trigger first.
After battling down to the basement for probably the third time, here comes quite possibly the stupidest part of the heist. The mantrap.
Being a player that prefers independence, I don’t use my headset when playing, and having to rely on another sentient being to mirror my movements without any sort of communication is the stuff of nightmares. This part isn’t necessarily time-consuming, or difficult. It just doesn’t make any fucking SENSE. Why would they make this a crucial part of the heist, when 90% of players don’t even fucking TALK?
After many deaths and a boat-load of enemies to take care of in between attempts at swiping a fucking keycard, we made it inside, and...
...it’s underwhelming.
In most, if not all past heists, the game would just go through a few animations and you would hit the max take. But in this one, they require you to spam the ‘A’ button (or the equivalent button on other platforms) to clear off carts full of cash. Which doesn’t sound too bad - except each cart takes about 30 seconds to clear, and you get maybe 2 minutes to get in and get out before the nerve gas seeps in and kills you. It didn’t help that my teammate might’ve cleared off one cart before choosing to either go AFK, or just stand still, as I cleared two and waited for him to meet me at the mantrap to leave. The gas suddenly enters, and I turn my attention to the map.
5 seconds pass...
...he’s still in there.
15...
...still there.
25... he finally pops out, and we escaped with a measly $800K. Unsurprisingly, he crushes about four boxes of snacks while I’m staring at him, waiting to (yet again) swipe a pair of keycards in unison.
We trudge back to the mantrap entrance, and we have to (AGAIN) battle some brainless, yet John Wick-like enemies to escape.
We exit the casino, and...
...all hell breaks loose.
FIVE ARMOURED TRUCKS blocking the parking lot alone, and about four more littered around the streets. More aimbot gods to deal with, and a few aggravating deaths to come to terms with.
We reach the getaway cars, or in other words, the other worst part of the heist.
As there are about 20 different possible getaway cars to choose from (four per possible crew member), few people will encounter this issue.
Keep in mind, I chose the Drift Yosemite. On the plus side, it certainly drifts, unlike the disappointment that is the Drift Tampa. On the other hand, though, I’d stick metal pins under each of my toenails and kick cinder blocks before I drove those absolute piles in a heist again. My partner chose to ride shotgun with me instead of taking the extra truck, so having ALL of the gunfire trained on a single vehicle made things... less than simple.
We made it to the Vinewood Hills before a pair of NOOSE Grangers pinned us against a wall while we were on our side. The bed of the truck was stuck in between the push bar on the SUV and the cement wall, similar to that of a fat kid stuck halfway through an elevator. With nowhere to go, the cops killed my teammate, and I just waited for the final pistol round to penetrate my stupid fucking emoji mask.
We finally escaped the city on our third or fourth round, but with two blown tires, each on the right side of the vehicle, the already drift-prone Drift Yosemite just refused to go in a straight line. The high-end buyers were located underneath the massive bridge that led towards Paleto, and I had reached Fort Zancudo before I realized that the truck wouldn’t escape the cops on-road with two tires left, so we dived into the mountains as soon as we entered the police cooldown. After narrowly dodging a few cops, we FINALLY escaped, stole a street vehicle, and finished the mission.
The final take? Just under $700K. And that was before Lester takes his cut, and your partners take theirs. My cut was 70%, and what did I get?
$318,000.
So if you include the price of the arcade that grants you access to this shitshow (I bought the one closest to the casino)...
...I made out with a loss of $1,557,000, plus some change.
Fuck this update. Fuck R. And fuck me, for thinking I would actually have fun. It must be some sort of twisted type of Stockholm syndrome at this point - to continue to believe that R will do something that actually benefits the player, and to act surprised when they don’t. But to think that someday, it’ll change.
It won’t.
I don’t care if people call me retarded for making stupid choices or for being naive, and I don’t care if I get downvoted. I just. Don’t. Care.
I’m done with GTA, for now. I’ll check to see what the podium car is, and what vehicles are added in the dripfeed. But there’s no way in hell I’m touching this heist with a 10 FT pole, from now on.

A brief explanation of the Casino Work missions

I don't know if there's any value in posting a text list of these missions instead of a video, but it may help someone so here it is. These are all the Casino work missions that I've personally seen, but there may be more missions or more variants of them that I haven't found yet.
To start these missions, you must have hosted the first storyline casino mission, Loose Cheng. If you call Ms Baker while you are a CEO, MC President or VIP, she will have a "Request Work" option that starts a random Casino Work mission. Each mission rewards you with 5000 Chips, and between 5,000-10,000 GTA$ (not sure what causes the amount to change). Ms Baker also has a roughly 5 minute cooldown after a job before she will let you request more work.
There is also an Award tied to doing these missions, which gives you a total bonus amount of $180,000 after completing 50 missions.
Are there any Casino Work missions or variants that you've done that aren't listed? Please mention the mission's name and what happens during it, since I like doing these missions (even if the payout is awful) and I would want to play through the complete list.

I am collecting notes about the new stuff. I want to make a list of all the pickup and drop off locations. With all the different scenarios for each.
(Work in progress so check back as I edit these notes.)

CEO must purchase an office. They are all identical on the inside, the only difference is the view and locations. Once a office is own, the CEO can be 24/7 VIP with no time limit or cooldown. All things below that say VIP also apply to CEO.
The offices can be upgraded with Safe and Ammo rack at purchase or after the fact through the interaction menu.
The ammo rack allows you to mark certain weapons as hidden in your weapon wheel. This can be overridden in the interaction menu. Reports also indicate it is buggy when doing heists or missions.
A VIP by contrast to a CEO must have $1Mil in the bank but need not spend it to activate VIP Mode. (Note: You do not pay anything to start VIP mode.)
VIP Mode lasts for 4 hours of freemode time.
When you log out the 4 hours is put on hold.
When you play other game modes like Contact Missions, Captures, Races, etc. the clock is put on hold.
After 4 hours of in game time you get a 12 hour real-time timeout before you can be VIP again. (Note: If you played in the evening. Expecting to be able to start with a fresh 4 hours after playing only 2 of them...nope.)
The cooldowns for jobs are independent of each other. So a job cooling-down from 20 minutes will stay running even if another job is completed in that category. You can use this to optimally determine when to turn in jobs.
VIP Work there is a 5 minute cooldown on jobs that were at 0:00.
VIP Challenges there is a 3 minute cooldown on jobs that were at 0:00.
VIP Work all members get the same payout. Vip Challenges, whoever scores highest gets a larger payout.
On a public server people get messages telling them what the VIP and Bodyguards are launching advising them to either stop the VIP or get the objective first..
If the VIP can either fire or terminate a bodyguard. If the VIP fires them, they must be killed before the VIP can hire another bodyguard. If the VIP marks them for termination the Bodyguard gets a bounty.
If the VIP resigns all remaining bodyguards get a bounty placed on them.

VIP/CEO Work

Headhunter - Take out 4 targets that randomly spawn on the map. Two targets are always mobile and two targets are always stationary. Bodyguards have very dangerous accuracy. The armoured vehicles take four explosions before exploding, though the NPCs bail at two. Non-associate players are asked to protect the targets.Payout ~$18-20K Avilable In: Invite Only, Crew, Public Players needed: VIP/CEO Great guide for using the buzzard in Headhunter https://www.reddit.com/gtaonline/comments/4zy1x0/ceo_headhunter_buzzardsavage_guide/
Air Freight - Collect a Cargobob at one location then go to a container being guarded by NPCs, take them out, pick up the container with the Cargobob, fly it to the destination. Other players are alerted about your progress. Payout ~$18-20K Avilable In: Invite Only, Crew, Public Players needed: VIP/CEO, 1+ Non-associate
Haulage - Collect a truck and drive it across the map. Non-associate players are told to stop you. A Karin Technical spawns at the initial pickup point. Payout ~$18-20K. Avilable In: Invite Only, Crew, Public Players needed: VIP/CEO, 1+ Non-associate
Hostile Takeover - Retrieve a package from either the Altruist Camp, Fort Zancudo, LSIA, or Merryweather Base and take it to a location. After stealing the package you get a 3 star wanted level. Wanted level goes away on package delivery. Each team member gets $16K+. Avilable In: Invite Only, Crew, Public Players needed: VIP/CEO only
Asset Recovery - Retrieve one or more cars from either the Vespucci Police Station, La Mesa Police Station, Mission Row Police Station, Vinewood Hills Police Station, Sandy Shores Police Station, or Paleto Bay Police Station and deliver them to a drop off. Wanted level cannot be lost until close to the destination. Avilable In: Invite Only, Crew, Public Players needed: VIP/CEO only
Sightseer - Hack the system to reveal packages. You collect 3 packages in 14 minutes using a hacking app on the phone. Only the VIP can hack and only the VIP can collect them. Every person in the VIP team gets around $23,000. Avilable In: Invite Only, Crew, Public Players needed: VIP/CEO only
Executive Deathmatch - Challenge another VIP to a deathmatch. They can accept or decline. Each player on each VIP team gets 10 lives. 20 minutes on the clock. Avilable In: Invite Only, Crew, Public Players needed: 2 VIP/CEO
Executive Search - The VIP is given 2 minutes to reach a location. A orange circle is around the location. Any player on the map can come try to find and kill you. If the VIP survives everyone gets $24K. The VIPs blip is invisible while moving. The Bodyguards blips can be seen. Keep the guards away from the VIP as this indicates the VIPs location. Avilable In: Invite Only, Crew, Public Players needed: VIP/CEO, 1+ Non-associate
Piracy Prevention - For players with Yachts. $20K for successful attacker. $30K to vip team for defending. Avilable In: Invite Only, Crew, Public Players needed: VIP/CEO, 1+ Non-associate

VIP/CEO Challenges

Cashing Out - Compete to steal the most amount of cash by hacking ATMs. Winner gets a bonus payout of $18K. Losers get $5K. Everyone gets to keep the money they stole. Avilable In: Invite Only, Crew, Public Players needed: VIP/CEO, 1+ Bodyguard
Salvage - Dive with rebreathers or a sumbmarine to collect ($) checkpoints. Each checkpoint is worth $500 after the first 10. 40-50 checkpoints. Winner gets a $18K bonus, Losers Get $5K. Like Due Diligence The winner of this can easily make $35-$45 in 10 minutes. Avilable In: Invite Only, Crew, Public Players needed: VIP/CEO, 1+ Bodyguard
Auto Buyout - Compete to steal and deliver the most high end vehicles. Payments are based on who delivers the most expensive vehicles. Winner gets the largest cut. Winner gets a percentage range from 0.71%-1.45% of total value. The percentage gets lower the higher the total is; it may cap at 0.71%. Loser gets $3k-$4.5K. (I have not figured out how this is calculated.) The most expensive vehicle I have found is the Transit Buses and Dashound Buses which bring in $500K each. Avilable In: Invite Only, Crew, Public Players needed: VIP/CEO, 1+ Bodyguard
Due Diligence- Compete to find hidden packages. Each member of the team gets a trackify app on their phone. When you get close to the package you will see smoke. When you get very close fireworks will come out of the package for all to see. Do this in the town of Harmony on a Sanchez for quickest payout. If 1 person collects all the packages within 10 minutes, they get about $38K. Avilable In: Invite Only, Crew, Public Players needed: VIP/CEO, 1+ Bodyguard
Most Wanted - Compete to survive a wanted level until time runs out. You cannot be "inside" or else your timer resets after 14 seconds inside you lose the challenge. (This includes being in the tunnels.) You cannot be in a air vehicle or your timer resets. For surviving the full 10 minutes you receive $21K. The wanted level goes away after the challenge. Avilable In: Invite Only, Crew, Public Players needed: VIP/CEO, 1+ Bodyguard
Point To Point - Compete against team members in a race. $10K+ to the winner $500+ to the losers. The destination must be set outside of a red circle. Very short races. Avilable In: Invite Only, Crew, Public Players needed: VIP/CEO, 1+ Bodyguard
Courier Service - Compete against team members to grab protection money and deliver to a location. If in an air vehicle the money evaporates. All damage to courier and the couriers vehicle makes money evaporate. Avilable In: Invite Only, Crew, Public Players needed: VIP/CEO, 1+ Bodyguard
Market Manipulation - Compete to hold up stores in the time limit. You get a wanted level after each robbery. Payout is $13K+ for winner. Avilable In: Invite Only, Crew, Public Players needed: VIP/CEO, 1+ Bodyguard

Other VIP/CEO Notes

VIP/CEOs can spawn vehicles they own nearby for free. And can "rent" the other VIP vehicles. You get to keep this vehicle while VIP or until it is destroyed. (example: If you leave a limo on the other side of the map after renting it you can respawn it near you for free.)
Bodyguards can spawn vehicles nearby if the VIP owns them and no other VIP vehicle is active.
Bodyguards get paid $5000 every 15 minutes by SecuroServe not the VIP. This amount is reduced by $250 each time the VIP dies. It will reset on the next payment if the VIP did not die in that duration.
VIPs get a cut of the money that a bodyguard earns while in Freemode. So if you sell a car, win a gang attack, or rob a store, they get the majority of the money.
When Bodyguards and VIPs die they spawn near each other when they are relatively near one another. (Need more research on this.)
Approximately every 1 minute of real time the Bodyguard spends inside the orange corona of the VIP they receive 100RP.
Every 10 miles the Bodyguard drives the VIP they get 600RP. (Still looking into this one.)
Bodyguards and VIPs can share cash with one another from each Work or Challenge. There is a daily limit that one character can share with another which is about $500K.
Some VIP/CEO work is considered server wide and only one can run at a time.
A VIP/CEO cannot start any other work, challenges, pickups or deliveries while engaged on a current one.
A CEO can request a Luxury Helicopter. When it arrives there is an option to skip the trip to one of your owned properties.

Bodyguard Management

Currently bodyguard pay is very low. They only get normal $5K/15 minutes for pickups. And around $5K on a delivery regardless of the size.
The best way to help them out is to play VIP Work or VIP Challenge Most Wanted in between package pickups. You can share the cash you make as CEO/VIP from Work/Challenges.

CEO Warehouse Management

CEO must purchase a Office. From a special terminal at the CEOs desk they access the SecuroServ Special Cargo Network.
From this desktop computer the CEO can purchase up to 5 warehouses. You can purchase over existing ones and a 1/2 refund will be given. This works kinda like apartments and garages.
Warehouses can hold either 16,42, or 111 Crates.
Special Cargo Crates are bought One at a time for $2000, Two at a time for $4000ea, or Three at a Time for $6000ea.
They can be Bullion, Jewelry, Narcotics, Gemstones, Counterfeit Goods, Medical Supplies, Electronics Goods, Weapons, Alcohol & Tobacco, or Animal Materials. They all cost and sell for the same price so the type of goods does not matter.
Rare Special Cargo
On occasion your Personal Assistant will call you and tell you there is Rare special cargo available for a hefty price. ~30K. Get to your office ASAP. Chose a warehouse. You will see the Rare Item at the top of the buy list. If you back out from that screen it may disappear. It will be a single crate to pickup. Some items: Rare Diamond, Bigfoot Suit?, Fabergé egg, Golden Minigun, Richard Majestics film reel. (These are reported on reddit I've only seen the diamond.) (Also Note: people report that this is very buggy.)
Pickup Missions
After the crates are bought a Buy Mission begins in public free roam. They usually consist of going to a place to pick up a van, truck, or meeting a contact. Each one usually has a "complication," and may have NPCs either guarding the Special Cargo

Gangs can show up after the Special Cargo is acquired in groups of 2 in 1-3 waves.
The location can change.
It may be one of 3-4 vehicles that one has to Search Each one for.
May have to use Trackify to find the vehicle.
Must Destroy 1-4 helicopters and pickup crates individually.
Must Destroy a helicopter then take out the 1+ thieves who parachute from it and pickup crates individually.
Police Ambush
Police have seized the cargo and are transporting it. You must get it from them and will get a wanted level.
Police have seized the cargo and have it at a secure location. You must enter the police station yard collect the vehicle and deal with 2* wanted level.

Pirates at the Marquis - destroy them without hitting the boat first to make sure you don't accidentally destroy cargo.

Sell Missions
Sell missions are determined by how many crates you want to sell at once. Larger shipments require multiple vehicles to be delivered.
0-9 Crates 1 truck/boat/plane.
10-40 Crates 2 trucks/boats/planes
40+ 3 trucks/boats/planes or 1 Titan.

Fly the cargo in 1+ Cuban 800's to Sandy Shores Airfield.
Fly the cargo in a 1+ Cuban 800's and drop individual crates on various spots around the map.
Take a tugboat to a sailboat in international waters.
Deliver cargo in 1+ Brickade. Sometimes must take out 18 incoming NPC enemies.
Take 1+ Brickade to 5 locations to drop off individual packages.
Deliver cargo in 1+ Brickade to a unknown location. Must use trackify. (After you have done enough of them you may be able to guess the spot just by vector alone.)
Take a Titan and deliver to 5 spots.

Expect extensive edits over the next few days. For the curios how do I keep in a solo public session? I have really crappy internet service.... it is the reason I can't really play heists... pretty much guaranteed to disconnect during one... but it does cause netsplits and leaves me solo all the time.

Some ideas for GTA Online that I think could really utilize this games full potential (Don't upvote but feedback 100% welcome)

I just wanna start by saying I'm absolutely in love with this game. Yes my character got deleted after about a week of playing, but honestly, I'm glad it happened now rather than several months down the road when my character would well more established. I knew there was gonna be problems, I braced for them and when online wasn't working, I just went and did something else. But honestly since last saturday I have not had a single problem playing this game, in fact my experience seems to get better every day.
I wanted to make a post highlighting some things I think Rockstar could implement that would really spice up this game. Sorry if some of these have already been confirmed or denied.
  1. Having crew hangouts. Basically just some really expensive property that can only be acquired by crews so that it can become their headquarters. One central location that all members are welcome, and you can even have rival crews come in and raid the place periodically to keep everyone on their feet. Crews can upgrade the interiors, exterior, security systems, weapons cache, escape routes, etc.
  2. This goes in hand with the first idea: Having each crew run it's own "operations". Basically have it set up so that crews can make money if they take the time to set up illicit operations like meth labs, weed farms, moonshine distilleries and even smuggling for the more advanced members. Players individually work on a series of quests to secure their territory across the map, and afterwards it runs like a normal GTA business: get your money every week, except a percentage goes to the crew's purse as well. Periodically, rival npc gangs could start to attack and try to claim your territory, in which case you'd be forced to protect your business like every other one in the regular game. But it would be a good way for players to maintain a decent income, support their crew, and gain influence across the entire map while still getting some random events popping up every now and then.
  3. Bring back home invasions. I know it was in San Andreas and it wasn't spectacular but I wanna think with the new Stealth feature not really getting much use in a game where you're basically required to go in guns blazing, at some point Rockstar would add something to exploit that trait. I just wanna clarify and say I don't mean players breaking into other players apartments, I mean only NPC apartments and houses. Put the best goods in the bedroom so that only people with high enough stealth can have access. If the homeowner wakes up, have ways to neutralize them without killing them or having the cops alerted. For the higher end homes, have an alarm system that must first be hacked in order to get inside. Hangars, Storage rooms, Warehouses, garages, apartments, etc. Break into gang headquarters (not crews) and rob their stash. Also I think it would be cool that depending on what you pick up, a different character will call you. For example, if you break into someone's garage and steal a high end car, Simeon will be your fence. Similarly, if you steal a rare antique, Martin would be your guy, or Lester if you found some kinda high tech or classified documents, or Trevor if you manage to steal a shit ton of drugs or steal a nice plane.
  4. Prison breaks and Casino heists. Why else would they add both these locations if not to later implement them with some kinda cool mission. I feel a lot of people already subscribe to this theory and I can't wait to see if Rockstar does what we all hope they'll do with those two places.
  5. Have players who constantly wreck other players in races become bad sports. Deliberately PIT'ing someone so they spin out in crash is basically unavoidable in races and I think penalizing players for acting like dicks would really smooth out the racing system. I might be the minority on this one but seriously, if you drive like that, you don't know how to drive. Also have players who camp outside Mod Shops and Gun Stores waiting for players to come out unarmed get penalized for being bad sports as well, because that's just down right cheap.
  6. Be able to run in your apartment. Little thing but it just doesn't feel naturally just slowly walking around everywhere. I do however really love how when you're watching TV and another player in game is getting chased by the po-po, the TV will immediately switch to WEAZEL NEWS Live Coverage of the pursuit. I'd love to watch people on missions as well if possible, to see how others do them and also to to see how wrong I've been doing them.
  7. More strategic ways of doing missions. What I mean is that I feel players more often than not approach every single mission with the mentality of running in, killing everyone in one sitting, and boom, mission over. 99% of the time they die, the mission fails and people end up leaving before restarting out of frustration. I wanna see dedicated roles in missions, like assigning who gets to go do what, just like in the regular game when Michael is telling Franklin to be the getaway driver, or Trevor to be on overwatch with the sniper, etc. Have the mission host assign positions, and each person has a specific role to play so that way each mission runs much smoother and more complex missions are coordinated better by players.
  8. Also going in hand with the last idea would be some kinda classification system for players depending on what their strong point is. Things like Driver, Gunman, Overwatch, Control, Stealth, Pilot, etc. Depending on what achievements you unlock and how you generally act in game will determine which of the classes you'll be identified as, so when your doing a mission everyone knows their roles and the missions go much smoother.
  9. More security trucks and the ability to blow up ATM's. I haven't seen a single armored truck in Online (not sure if they are even in the game yet) but I think adding these two ideas is just another way for players to get some quick cash with high risk.
  10. Finally, add more features to store robbing. What i mean is that in some places, there is a back room with a safe and I feel players should be given the option to crack it at the risk of staying the store longer and thus letting the cops to close in. You can either clean out the register, or tie the clerk up in the back and break open the safe. More risk, more reward and gives players more flexibility when doing these quick jobs.
Anyways, please use this post to submit any more suggestions you might have and please please please feel free to tweak and build upon anything I've just posted. I don't claim originality on anything I just wanna see how creative the players can become. Thanks for reading.
Edit: WHAT PART OF DON'T UPVOTE DIDN'T YOU UNDERSTAND?! No seriously, thanks for all the feedback and suggestions. This is the response I was hoping for and you guys delivered.
Double secret edit: thank you to one guy who's downvoting all my comments.

Heist Crew Members - 4. Advertisement. Set-up Cost The Rockstar Newswire description for the Diamond Casino Heist in GTA Online reads: Even if the best laid plans go sideways, For the casino heist, I'm doing the Big Con.
