My buddy and I found out that if you play, let's say 20 numbers straight-up on a single spin. The odds are extremely close to the same odds of playing one number 20 consecutive spins. Therefore you'd be better off, if you have the time, playing a single number over and over to give yourself a chance of hitting the 35:1 earlier on and saving the remaining bets. I just always see people almost covering the board with bets everywhere. So when they hit they lose all the other bets still. Barely making profit.

My fiance and I watched Last Holiday yesterday, and there's a scene where Queen Latifah bets on 17 three times in a row and wins each time. We are arguing over whether it didn't matter that she picked 17 each time, because the odds are 1/38 each spin, or if her odds would be (1/38)^3. Can anybody give me the mathematical proof/explanation on what the actual probability is, and if it is less realistic than hitting 3 different numbers? Does the fact that she picked 17 each time, instead of saying "I bet that 17 will hit 3 times in a row" affect how the probability is calculated?

But in reality the canche 5 would in the next round again would stay the same (2.7027027027 %) But what about number or colour sequences ? Would the canche of getting a sequence of a 5-5 (or 2.7%* 2.7%) not be bigger than a 5-5-5-5 (2.7%2.7%2.7%*2.7%) sequence ? If this is true wouldn't be possible to increase the odds of winning by waiting for a long sequence?
